Is Anti Ageing cream a Myth, or does it really work?. People are living longer and longer these days and their is an almost unquenchable thirst in men and women to remain as youthful as possible.
Let’s be honest you can’t blame anyone for wanting to keep a youthful appearance, no one really likes wrinkles, saggy eye bags, receding hairline, and all the other wonderful signs of ageing. So it is not at all surprising that many people go to extremes and go “under the knife” to try to look younger.
Surgery may bit a bit extreme, can cost thousands of dollars and not always bringing the results people actually want. However, there are also many supposed “miracle creams” out there on the market that state they can do all kinds of amazing things to help us reduce ageing.
But do Anti Ageing creams really work or is it all smoke and mirrors ?
Anti Ageing Creams – The Truth and Nothing But The Truth
Anti-Ageing creams are predominately moisturiser based skin care products. The purpose of these creams is to restore elasticity to the skin, thus tightening it. Retinol, which is a derivative of Vitamin A, can increase collagen production and thicken the skin indirectly, making cellulite less visible.
Boosting collagen production in the skin can reduce fine lines, speed cell turnover. which in turn evens out discolouration and smoothes the skin.
Many Anti Ageing Creams contain some of the following ingredients:
Vitamin C, Hydroxy acids, Coenzyme Q10, Peptides, Tea Extracts, Grape Seed Extract & Niacinamide.
Some high end products also contain Matrixyl. In early 2013, University of Reading researchers found that Matrixyl can nearly double the amount of protein collagen needed to give skin it’s elasticity. The team itself was led by Professor Hamley.
When considering which Anti Wrinkle cream to use, look on it as a long term project. You can’t apply anti ageing cream and expect to take off 10 years in a matter of days, it does take time.
Always look for an anti ageing cream that protects skin from future signs of ageing, improves the skin’s firmness and elasticity, removes the unsightly appearance of “crows feet” and helps eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.
